The Tapestry Dance Education Program is founded on the effort to provide 21st century,
holistic dance education to our students.
The integration of dance history and social history, in our classes and online programming,
is in alignment with truly following our mission of
weaving dance into life as well as weaving life into dance.
Classes for Pre-K, Youth, Adult (All Levels) and Pre-professional Training

Tapestry Academy students have graduated into successful professional dance careers around the world including our own Tapestry Dance Company, STOMP, Michelle Dorrance Dance, Momix, Doug Varone & Dancers, The Rhythmic Arts and SoundMovement in NYC among many others. We are proud of our family across the globe weaving dance into life as teachers and performers. Whether a closet 'hoofer' or ballerina (past workshops have included Gregory Hines, Bruce Wood, Tracie Stanfield among many of the world's leading dance artists), a professional or you're just looking for a good workout, Tapestry has a place for you!  Adult and young dancers from beginner to professional, in all dance forms, can add a little rhythm in their walk on and off stage.

Our programs are aimed at increasing self-confidence and self-expression while focusing on the technique and history of each discipline and style - guiding and providing the tools necessary for our students to become dancers in the truest sense: through their art, they share themselves with their families and their communities whether for recreation or professional training.
