SOUL 2 SOLE
2026

A LEGACY FAREWELL
JUNE 17TH - 21ST 2026
_______
Tapestry's Soul 2 Sole Festival is a rhythmic & musical experience for Adults & Teens
connecting tap dance techniques, history and legacy to lives and life.
One unique and individual step at a time...
(Austin, TX) – Tapestry Dance Company moves forward with its annual festival of rhythm with the 25th Annual Soul 2 Sole Festival returning after the forced cancellation last year due to withdrawal of $30,000 of awarded funds from the National Endowment for the Arts.
This one-of-a-kind, “Austintatious” tap festival has brought world renown tap artists from around the world for a soulful live reunion for actually 35 years (originally The Austin Tap Jam). It has been a joy to bring Soul 2 Sole and its founding as The Austin Tap Jam experience to thousands of dancers and audiences since 1991.
2026 will be the fond and heartfelt farewell to the decades of sharing shuffles...
Come join us!
The legacy of souls & soles who have been a part of our friends in time...

CLASS LEVELS
All S2S artists are musical artists who work in the elements of listening and creating an atmosphere of play together. These mixed level classes are set to encourage the sharing of possibilities; encouraging students into the sandbox of the rhythms of life that we all share together. It's all about the basics...everything else is a variation!
-
ADV BEG/INT - Strong core basics of tap technique, musicality and traditional repertory.
-
HIGH INT/ADV - Student must have a strong foundation of tap technique and choreography with a solid understanding of choreography and syncopated rhythm possibilities. THIS LEVEL ALSO INCLUDES PROS: Solid tap experience and experience with little hesitation in trying something new.
