ABOUT THE PROJECT
In times of joy, sadness, strength, and crisis, art is an uplifting and healing force that can bring us all together. The aim of this initiative is to support artists of all kinds and weave art into life.
COVID-19 has pushed dancers out of the studio and into their homes where they don't have the proper spaces and equipment to dance to their fullest. We want to help out so we are partnering with local Austin visual artists to create one-of-a-kind artwork on the underside of wooden dance floors that celebrate dance, art, and life.
All pieces will be posted on our website for anyone to purchase as a tax-deductible donation to the artist and to Tapestry.
HOW TO PURCHASE
Basic 4'X4' raised maple floors are available for a $250 donation. One-of-a-kind Dance Floor Art Project pieces are also available for purchase.
Each customized board is set at a different donation amount, and for more information on available Art Boards, please email your interest to dance@tapestry.org. All proceeds of this fundraiser will be split between the artists and Tapestry.
NOTE: These Dance Floors are available to be picked up from the Tapestry studio or delivery in the Austin-metro area can be coordinated. Logistics for pick up will be coordinated with you once your donation has been received. Shipping will not be available.
