The Souls of Our Feet II - A Celebration of American Tap Dance Tapestry's annual celebration of America's indigenous art form - tap dance from the past to the present. Awarded the NEA's American Masterpieces: Dance touring and reconstruction grant for it's first two seasons and currently touring the U.S. and abroad, this production stays current in its restaging of tap dance classics from stage and screen as well as the cutting edge choreography of contemporary artists. This production has won numerous awards including "Best Ensemble" and "Best Dance Concert" by the Austin Critics Circle. |

Ninth Annual Soul to Sole Festival This NEA funded program offers master classes and workshops in the historical and contemporary aspects of American tap dance, lecture demonstrations, an artist/faculty concert, a participant showcase of teen and adult students from around the world, video screenings, tap improvisational jams as well as a professional conservatory for the preservation of historical perspectives and current trends. |
