Siobhan Cook

Instructs: Tap, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop

 

Siobhan Cook has been a “resident” at Tapestry Dance Company since her birth. As the daughter of Tapestry Co-Founder Deirdre Strand, she has been in the wings with the professional company since its inception and actually appeared in The Games People Play in 1995 as “the child”. Trained through the Gray/Strand Syllabus and an alumni of TDC’s Pre-Apprentice Company Visions In Rhythm, Siobhan has worked directly with the artists of Tapestry and has had the opportunity to dance with numerous guest choreographers. As a member of VIR, her performance credits include The Chicago Human Rhythm Project as well as The Soul to Sole Festival working with numerous rhythm tap masters including Dianne Walker, Sam Weber, Ayodele Casel, Jay Fagan, Lane Alexander, Derick Grant, Arthur Duncan and many others. During this season, she is the understudy for Tapestry’s national tour of The Souls of Our Feet as well as the upcoming Souls of Our Feet II. As a true multi-form dancer, Footprints marked Siobhan’s first Tapestry Dance Company performance. Welcome Siobhan!
