Sharon Marroquin
Instructs: Modern & Ballet
Sharon was born and raised in Mexico City. After completing a degree in Biology she realized that her true vocation did not lie in the confines of a laboratory , but was instead to be found in a dance studio. Since then she has danced professionally with many companies including the Marcus Schulkind Dance Company, Anna Myer & Dancers, Peanut Butter & Jelly Dance Company, Tabula Rasa, Danza Estudio and Theatre Frederik. She has performed at national and international festivals throughout the United States, Mexico and Europe.
For the past eleven years Sharon has taught modern, ballet, jazz, creative movement and dance history at Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School, Boston University, the 7th Dance & the Child International Conference, and the Centro Universitario de la Danza, among many others. She is happy to now be part of Tapestry's wonderful staff.
